How Tesla custom sounds work

What is LockChime.wav?

LockChime.wav is the exact filename Tesla looks for when playing a custom lock sound. Place it at Boombox/LockChime.wav on a FAT32 or exFAT USB drive and plug it into a front data port — Tesla plays it every time you lock the car.

The filename must be exact. Tesla's firmware ignores files with the wrong name, wrong extension, or placed in the wrong folder — there's no error message, the car simply plays nothing. Every sound in this library downloads ready-named as LockChime.wav so you can drop it straight onto the USB.
