Halloween sounds Halloween Tesla lock sounds: free spooky downloads

Slasher themes, ghost stingers, a witch's cackle and a few zombies. Every clip below installs as your Tesla's LockChime.wav and plays when you lock the car, so the walk away from the driveway gets a soundtrack.

Slashers and things that go bump

Michael Myers' piano, Pennywise's laugh, Vecna's grandfather clock and two screams that work best when someone is standing right next to the car.

Spooky, not scary

For a driveway full of trick-or-treaters: the Ghostbusters theme, a witch's cackle, the Addams Family snap and a little X-Files whistle.

Zombies and horror games

Call of Duty Zombies, the old Minecraft zombie groan and Freddy Fazbear's nose honk.

Install a Halloween lock sound

  1. Copy to USB

Download your sound. Every file arrives named LockChime.wav in 44.1 kHz, 16-bit WAV, the recommended spec for clean playback. On a FAT32 or exFAT USB drive, create a folder named Boombox and place LockChime.wav inside it. Full path: Boombox/LockChime.wav. The only hard Tesla requirement is a WAV file named LockChime.wav.

  2. Plug into your Tesla

Insert the drive into a USB port that carries data (the glovebox port on newer cars; rear ports only charge). Give the car a few seconds to index the drive. Open Toybox → Boombox → Lock Sound, then choose USB.

  3. Lock the car

Lock the car to hear it.

Halloween lock sound questions

How do I switch back to my normal lock sound after Halloween?

Put a different LockChime.wav on the drive, or open Toybox → Boombox → Lock Sound on the touchscreen and pick another option. If you pick a built-in option, the Halloween file stays on the drive, so choosing USB again next October brings it back.

Which Halloween sounds won't scare the trick-or-treaters?

Start with the "spooky, not scary" picks: the Ghostbusters theme, the witch's cackle and the Addams Family snap read as fun from the sidewalk. The slasher picks, Michael Myers and Pennywise, are for people who want the jump.

Can I use a Halloween song that isn't on this page?

Yes. Trim any clip to five seconds or less in the free creation tool and it saves as a Tesla-ready LockChime.wav. Or search the full library: there are more horror and spooky sounds in the Horror & Spooky category.
