Information you provide

• The email address you give the newsletter signup, or the "email me this sound" form if you tick the newsletter box (both optional)
• The email address you type into the "email me this sound" form, used to send that one message
• The email address you type into the "email my saved list" form, used to send that one message
• Sound reports: the issue you describe and an email address if you choose to add one
• Emails you send us (see the section on attachments below)

• Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet)
• Pages visited and time spent

• General geographic location (country/region level)

Types of cookies we use

• Essential cookies: Required for basic website functionality (always active)
• Analytics cookies: Help us understand how visitors use our site
• Marketing cookies: Used to display relevant advertisements
• Preference cookies: Remember your settings (e.g., audio volume, cookie preferences)

Cookie consent

• Visitors in the EU, EEA, UK, and Switzerland see a consent banner before analytics or advertising cookies are set
• Everywhere else, analytics and advertising are on by default; you can opt out any time via the Cookie preferences link in the footer
• Essential cookies cannot be disabled as they are required for the site to function
• A saved choice always overrides the default and can be changed any time from the same Cookie preferences link

What we store on your device

• tls_consent_regime (cookie, 180 days): records whether your country needs an opt-in banner. We set it from the country your request comes from
• teslalocksound_cookie_consent (local storage): your analytics and advertising choice
• tls.theme and tls.recent.v1 (local storage): your light or dark setting and the last sounds you played, kept on your device
• tls.favoriteSounds.v1 (local storage): the sounds you saved as favorites
• utm_params_v1 and utm_capture_time_v1 (local storage): the campaign tags (utm_source and similar) from the link you arrived on, and when we saw them, so a later download can be credited to that link
• tls-session-email (session storage): the email address you typed into a sound email form, so the next form in the same tab is pre-filled. It clears when you close the tab
• tls_last_download_v1 (session storage): which sound you last downloaded, so the install guide can tell you came from a download. It clears when you close the tab
• tls.ui-sounds.enabled and tls.ui-sounds.volume.v3 (local storage): whether interface sounds are on and how loud they are
• tls.lastVisit (local storage): when you last visited, so a returning visit can show how many sounds were added since. Only that calendar day is sent to ask for the count
• tls.newSince.session (session storage): that count for the current tab, so a reload keeps it. It clears when you close the tab

The site also keeps a few interface-state entries, such as recent searches, the create tool's draft state, and dismissed notices. They never leave your browser.

Third-party services

• Vercel Analytics: For anonymous usage statistics
• Google Analytics 4: Usage statistics, only when analytics is allowed (see Cookie consent). Google keeps event-level data for 14 months
• Google AdSense: Advertisements, only when marketing cookies are allowed (see Cookie consent). Ads appear in set places on the page; AdSense auto ads are off and we block sensitive ad categories in AdSense. AdSense can also load Google's consent messaging (Funding Choices)
• Sentry: Error reports from the site, with the page address and browser details. Session replay is off
• Supabase: For database and storage services
• Resend: Sends the welcome email and the "email me this sound" email, sends our report notifications, and receives mail sent to our addresses, so the email addresses we collect pass through it
• ElevenLabs: Speaks the line you type on the voice generator page. We send it the text of that line, the voice you picked, and the mood you chose, from our server, so it can return the audio. We keep a hashed IP address, the length of the line, and the voice, to enforce a usage limit, and delete that record after 35 days; we do not store the line itself. Audio files you convert or trim on the converter and create pages never leave your browser

Kept on your device

Your saved sounds, your install check-in answers, and the date of your last visit to the library (tls.lastVisit and tls.newSince.session) stay in your browser. To show how many sounds were added since you last came, the library sends that date, rounded to a day, and nothing else.

Our own usage measurement

We do NOT:

• Sell your personal information to third parties
• Share your email address with advertisers
• Track your activity across other websites

We may share data with:

• Service providers necessary for website operation (hosting, analytics)
• Advertising partners (only if you accept marketing cookies)
• Legal authorities if required by law
