Contact Tesla Lock Sound
Six addresses, each monitored, each for a different kind of message. Pick the one that matches and you will get a faster answer than the catch-all would give you.
Tesla Lock Sound is an independent project run by one person. Replies usually take a few days. It is not affiliated with Tesla, Inc. and cannot help with vehicle service, accounts, or Tesla software.
Support and general questions
Use this for anything about downloading a sound, installing it, or a file that will not play in the car. Most install problems come down to the file name, the folder, or the USB port, so say which of those you have already checked and the answer gets a lot faster.
What to include:
- ●Your Tesla model and model year
- ●The exact file name and folder path you put on the drive
- ●How the drive is formatted
- ●What the car does: nothing at all, the stock chime, or a cut-off sound
Copyright and takedown
If you hold rights to audio in the library and want it removed, send a takedown notice here. Requests are honored; there is no argument stage. Include enough detail to identify the specific sound rather than a category.
What to include:
- ●A link to the specific sound page
- ●What work it reproduces and your relationship to that work
- ●A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized
- ●Your contact details and signature
Legal
Terms of service questions, trademark concerns, and anything a lawyer sends. This is a separate inbox from support so a legal notice does not sit behind install questions.
What to include:
- ●The specific term or policy at issue
- ●The URL it appears on
Privacy and data requests
Access, deletion, and opt-out requests, plus questions about what the site stores. The site has no accounts, so in most cases there is very little tied to you in the first place. The privacy policy says exactly what there is.
What to include:
- ●Which request you are making
- ●Any identifier the request applies to, such as a newsletter email
Security disclosure
Report a vulnerability here rather than in public. This address is also published in the site's security.txt, so you can verify it before sending anything sensitive.
What to include:
- ●Steps to reproduce
- ●The affected URL or endpoint
- ●What an attacker could do with it
Report a sound
For a sound that is broken, mislabeled, offensive, or a duplicate of another entry. Every sound page also has a report control, which is faster because it attaches the sound's identity automatically.
What to include:
- ●The sound page URL
- ●What is wrong with it
If you are an agent
Machine-readable descriptions of what this site does and how to query it live at /agents.md, /llms.txt, and /openapi.json. The read-only JSON API is documented on the developer page and needs no key.
