Does Tesla Model Y support custom lock sounds?

Yes! All Tesla Model Y trims (2020–present) support custom lock sounds via USB with software version 2023.44.25 or higher. Go to Toybox > Boombox > Lock Sound to select your custom file.

How do I install a custom lock sound on Model Y?

Download a WAV file from TeslaLockSound.com, rename it to "LockChime.wav", place it in the root of a FAT32 USB drive, plug it into your Model Y, and select it under Toybox > Boombox > Lock Sound > USB.

Is the Model Y lock sound installation reversible?

Yes, completely reversible. You can switch back to the default Tesla lock sound at any time via Toybox > Boombox > Lock Sound. Simply select "Default" instead of "USB".

Can I use any WAV file as my Model Y lock sound?

Tesla requires the file to be named exactly "LockChime.wav" and placed in the root directory of a USB drive. The file should be in WAV format (44.1kHz, 16-bit). All sounds on TeslaLockSound.com are pre-formatted and ready to use.
