source Steven He's "EMOTIONAL DAMAGE!!" videos (YouTube/TikTok, 2021–2022). He plays a theatrical "disappointed Asian dad" delivering devastating one-liners in a mock-dramatic style. The catchphrase went massively viral, spawning merchandise and cultural references. Use case: what happens to everyone who realizes they don't own a Tesla. Transcript: "Emotional damage!" Trivia: Steven He (born in China, raised in Ireland) studied at University College Dublin; he originally planned to be a software engineer before pivoting to comedy, which his real dad supported — despite the bit.
