source Super Mario Bros. (Nintendo, 1985), composer Koji Kondo. The power-up jingle plays when Mario collects a Super Mushroom and doubles in size. Use case: every time you lock, you just leveled up. Trivia: Kondo composed the Mario power-up jingle in a single day as part of the NES hardware's 5-channel audio constraints — the ascending arpeggio was designed to feel instantly rewarding.
